Update Manager on Gnome3

I updated Ubuntu to 11.10 some time ago (hey, 12.04 is around the corner).

I’ve never really liked Unity, so I switched to Gnome3. No perfect, but I prefer it to Unity.

I found that the Update Manager was not present. I thought that I may accidentally uninstalled it somehow, but no. I could open a terminal and run “update-manager”. So, the program is there.

It turns out that you can use “alacarte”, a software I thought it was to edit the menu in Gnome2, to add it to the Gnome3 activities menu. Why it disappeared in first place, continues to be a mistery :)
