Netbeans hangs in Ubuntu 15.10 !
I upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10, and this is probably my last non-LTS version of Ubuntu…
GIMP hangs (C2G, unsolved by now), problems when booting (solved by switching to GDM)… and now Netbeans. It just hangs, right after starting it.
After installing again 8.1, upgrading/downgrading JVM from 7 to 8 and to 7 again… nothing.
Finally, I’ve found the forum of Jabref, where the developers pointed an Ubuntu bug, strickingly similar to what I was experiencing. Until now, the solution provided just works !
sudo vim /etc/java-7-openjdk/accessibility.properties
…and comment the only line there:
#assistive_technologies=org.GNOME.Accessibility.AtkWrapper
There you go. Solved :)
